Terms and Conditions
A deposit equal to 1 hour hire fee must be paid to secure a pre agreed booking slot of minimum 2 hours.
The balance must be paid in full prior to departure by credit/debit card or bank transfer to appear in Bow Boat Company business account at least 48 hours prior to departure.
Departure & arrival locations arranged at the time of booking cannot be subsequently altered or extended unless otherwise agreed with the Skipper.
Passengers must board 10 minutes before the booking time so we can give a brief health and safety talk, show the layout of the boat and depart promptly.
All passengers must disembark within 10 minutes of arrival at destination. If disembarkation goes over 15 minutes, quarterly surcharges of the hourly rate will apply.
The skipper reserves the right to refuse to carry any member of the party.
No liability is accepted by Bow Boat Company should any passenger arrive late, or not at all, for whatever reason.
The client is responsible for the conduct of guests and any damage to the boat, fixtures and fittings, and equipment aboard. Should extra cleaning be required due to misconduct of the client or any members of their party, the trip may need to be cut short by up to 30 mins to allow for this.
We provide bin bags and bins and dispose of all rubbish left aboard, but we do expect the decks to be cleared before we reach your drop off point!
Wherever possible a boat and crew will be provided for the hours booked but in the event that no alternative is available, you will be notified immediately and we will refund any monies paid or offer to re-book.
Cancellation by the hirer of a confirmed booking more than 4 weeks prior to the booking date will be fully refunded.
Cancellation of a confirmed booking made by the hirer within 4 weeks of the confirmed booking date will forfeit the deposit.
Bookings cancelled due to Government ‘Lockdown’ policies will be refunded or offered to re-book an alternative date.
A cancellation made within 24hours of the booking will be charged the full amount. An alternative date may be arranged where possible.
Whilst every endeavour is always made to provide the services at the time stated, the operators will not be liable in any way for any inconvenience, loss, injury or damage arising from any cause whatsoever beyond their control, including but not limited to war, pandemic, revolution, riot, civil commotion, public demonstration, sabotage, act of vandalism or Act of God, and for the avoidance of doubt, no refunds of any deposits and/or advance payments will be made in these circumstances.
Bow Boat Company operates in all weathers, and have roof and side covers in the event of rain. However, we will contact you in advance if our services are likely to be impacted by extreme weather conditions.
The Skipper has the discretion to amend or cancel all cruises prior to and during the trip, and his/her decision is final.
FAQ’s
Please note that while we are facing unusual restrictions due to the Corona Virus you must ensure your party keeps to the distanced seating arrangement during your trip. Please ensure you read the Covid-19 risk assessment
Can we have more than 12 passengers?
The boat and crew are licensed and insured to carry a maximum of 12 passengers. This ensures there is plenty of room for everyone and ensures safety for all passengers and crew.
Do babies count as passengers?
Yes. All members of the party are counted regardless of age for insurance purposes.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes! Bring your own food and drinks. Bottles are ok but please do be careful and begin to clear away all your waste into the bags provided 10 mins before arrival. Please remember to bring plastic cups/glasses. Bring your own music and enjoy the cruise!
Are dogs allowed on the boat?
Well behaved dogs are welcome on the boat.
What happens if it rains?
It does rain in London! In general, the weather does not affect the booking schedule unless there are very extreme weather conditions.. We have a covered deck and only the crew get wet when it rains!
Can we decorate the boat?
Due to Covid-19 the crew need to spend longer between trips disinfecting all areas so unfortunately we cannot permit personal decorations. The boat has its own decorations.
